About IRC - Atlanta
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises - helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster from around the world.
Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC is at work in over 40 countries and 28 US cities.
The IRC’s locally-funded regional office in Atlanta opened in 1979. It resettles over 1,000 refugees each year and serves an additional 3,000 refugees, immigrants and asylees in the state of GA. The IRC offers many services that ensure families are empowered to rebuild their lives in local communities throughout the state.
The IRC is grateful to be the recipient of strollers during the upcoming KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOR event on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
